About the Author, Gerry LaFemina

LaFemina

is the author of several collections of poetry including The Parakeets of Brooklyn (winner of the Bordighera Prize in Poetry, bilingual edition of English and Italian), and The Window Facing Winter (New Issues). He's also the author of two prose poetry collections, Zarathustra in Love and Figures from The Big Time Circus Book/The Book of Clown Baby. His poem "Returning Home in the MG Just before Dawn" won a 2008 Pushcart prize. His awards and prizes include a Michigan Arts and Cultural Affairs/Art Serve Individual Artist fellowship, a North American International Auto Show Prize in fiction award, and an Irving Gilmore Emerging Artist fellowship. Wish List is his first story collection.
